Small Dictionary Since ProWrite's dictionary is very large (over 95,000 words), it can take some time to completely check the spelling of even small documents--especially on floppy systems. For this reason, ProWrite comes with two different dictionaries; the Main Dictionary which contains over 95,000 words, and the Small Dictionary which contains about 21,000 words. Checking the spelling of your document using the Small Dictionary is considerably faster than using the Main Dictionary, but of course you may come across more words that ProWrite thinks are misspelled. ProWrite will automatically use the Main Dictionary unless you take specific steps to force it to use the Small Dictionary.FSCC
/To force ProWrite to use the Small Dictionary, simply rename the Main Dictionary to something different, such as "Big Dictionary." You don't have to rename the Small Dictionary since ProWrite automatically looks for a dictionary called "Small Dictionary" if it cannot find one called "Main Dictionary."
Another way to force ProWrite to use the Small Dictionary is to copy the Small Dictionary (but not the Main Dictionary) to the RAM disk. Since ProWrite looks for a dictionary on the RAM disk first, it will find and use the Small Dictionary instead of the Main Dictionary.FSCC
&If you are using a single floppy drive system, it should be possible to copy both ProWrite and the Small Dictionary onto a single Workbench diskette if you delete unnecessary printer drivers, keymaps, and fonts (along with removing the Utilities drawer, and most of the items in System drawer).FSCC
